Slaves to Armok: God of Blood Chapter II: Dwarf Fortress, also called Slaves to Armok II: Dwarf Fortress, but most commonly known simply as Dwarf Fortress, is a freeware computer game by Bay 12 Games for Microsoft Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X set in a high fantasy universe that combines aspects of roguelike and city-building games and is primarily known for its unique level of complexity and difficulty. The title of the game is inspired by its primary focus on the construction, management, and exploration of dwarven fortresses within the game world. Development started in October 2002, followed by the game’s first public release in August 2006.

The game difficulty is variable, but its slant towards difficulty is reflected in the game’s motto, “Losing is Fun.” The first few attempts for newer players almost invariably (and very quickly at that) end in disaster. However, as time progresses, and the user’s fortress grows, the game presents more late-game challenges. Since there is no victory condition for the game, all fortresses can and will eventually end in disaster…

Hahaha.
Please buy a fucking dictionary.
Ahhh, rife with unfunny. Not too original. Nice drawings though!
that was awesome
love your style <3
This made me start playing Dwarf Fortress. Awesome web comic dude
if by ‘end in disaster’ you mean ‘slowly grind to a halt’
DF hasn’t been difficult for a long time, forts don’t die the fps does

Frame 11: *than

For the love of all that is holy, take an English class. Anyone over the age of 11 should be ashamed to have such a poor understanding of their primary language.
Thanks! I will correct those errors.
English is not my primary language. I’m Swedish.
Well, I think I know who should be ashamed right now.
@Author, completely love this, all these DF comics are so full of win.
A force of goblins *have breached
Gear up *dwarves!
Either
goblin-demon king, or
goblin demon-king
depending on whether you’re describing a king as a goblin-demon, or a goblin as a demon-king.
I like how you can correctly spell adamantium, a fictional comic book metal, yet fail to grasp elementary grammar and spelling of real-world terms.
I read that in the voice of the Comic Book Guy from Simpsons.
That is the best response to a troll that I have ever read.
Hear ye, hear ye!
Wish I could do this at work too.
What a cruel and unnecessary massacre… my boss could die that way…
Dearest a-hole commenters:
Henrik states at the top of the page that he’s from Sweden.
Obviously English isn’t his first language, so give him a break.
We should be thanking him just for writing this in English in the first place.
Thanks, Henrik!
maybe there right…..
that some times video games,

I love this comic! So good.
That got demented quick.
