Playing Minecraft in Minecraft is possible.
Here is an awesome video of a guy that build a computer within Minecraft running a simplified version of Minecraft:
You can also find a lot of videos with people that build PONG games in Minecraft. Here is a visually pleasing one:
Now that i think of it, my experience in the weird dimension I ended up in, kind of resembles the ending of the movie 2001: A Space Odyssey by Stanley Kubrick.
If you haven’t seen the whole movie you’ve missed out. It’s a masterpiece! Here is the ending explained (spoilers!):

Genius comic.
awesome
only a shame you’d run out of memory instead hehe
Your comic is just described a recursive function that doesn’t stop. What happens is that your program crashes either when it overflows the function call stack or the finite available memory of your computer and is then killed by the operating system kernel. Can happen very easily when your programming a recursive function.
that’s assuming the program has a condition to stop when a stack overflow occurs. (in this case, sadly, java does :/)
I… i just hate creepers….
son of a bi***!!! >:(
Awesome comic though!!!
Mine craft is fun and all but this kinda stretches the too much time on your hands phrase to its limits. Being able to figure this stuff out means your smart enough to do something more worth while with your time.
I just love the 2001: A space Odyssey reference! It was amazing!
